Biomes and zones

Last updated 1 year ago

The map of Crypterra is divided into different biomes, which in turn are divided into zones.

Biomes

Biomes are unique ecosystems that activate Crypterrians bonuses or award penalties to certain factions.

Each biome consists of 10 zones, with the difficulty of passing them increasing as the zone level rises.

Biomes can be classified as Tier 1 (zones level 1-10), Tier 2 (zones level 10-20), or Tier 3 (zones level 20-30).

Biomes can only acivate or de-acivate bonuses of Crypterrians. A biome on its own does not give any extra bonuses.

Access to some biomes is only available to squads which Mechas reached a certain level

Zones

A zone is an area within a biome that contains $ERA reserves. The biome determines the bonus or debuff that the squad will receive on an expedition, while the level of the zone determines the required power and energy for traveling through it.

Zones of the same level in different biomes have the same Power and Energy requirements, and provide the same rewards

Power

Power determines whether the squad can explore the zone. To access any zone you need to have cetrain Power. The more power you have, the more difficult zones you can explore.

Energy

You can explore any zone with any amount of Mecha energy, but the more energy you spend, the higher are your chances of successful expedition. The required energy amounts in the stats table have a 75% success rate.
